Morley & McConkie LC was established in 1992 by Craig Morley & Stanford S. McConkie and provides a broad range of real estate appraisal services in Southern Utah, Nevada, and Arizona.

Both Craig and Stan have resided in the area since 1985 and worked as appraisers before organizing Morley & McConkie LC. Since that time the original two man firm has expanded to include 8 real estate appraisers providing a broad range of real estate consulting and valuation services.

Craig and Stan have extensive experience in commercial and industrial development having been involved not only in valuation, but also in the planning and construction process of various commercial projects in Utah and Nevada. Practical experience with a solid foundation in valuation methods and practices provide a perspective not generally found in appraisal firms.

Stanford S. McConkie, MAI, PHD

Stanford S. McConkie has been working in the appraisal industry since 1980. In 1992, Stan, along with Craig Morley, founded Morley & McConkie LC. Since that time, Morley & McConkie LC has earned a reputation of quality and honesty and is a highly respected appraisal firm in the Southern Utah and Nevada areas. In 1994, Stan earned the title of MAI, which is the highest designation in the appraisal industry. He is a designated member of the Appraisal Institute. His appraisal experience includes most types of real property including apartments and condominiums, commercial land, residential subdivisions, office, retail, and industrial buildings, easements, and condemnation and eminent domain. Stan has also served as an expert witness in numerous cases in the 5th District Court. He holds a PHD in Political Science(Public Policy, Public Law, Public Administration and Empirical Research) Other professional activities include being a Member of the Technical Advisory Panel, State of Utah, Member of CHAS Committee, Five County Association of Governments.

Craig Morley-Senior Partner

Craig has been a full time real estate appraiser since 1984. From 1978 to 1984 he was involved with the construction industry as an owner in a construction firm and was a journeyman brick mason, with a diverse range of construction related experience. Appraisal experience includes most types of real property including residential homes, commercial land and building improvements, various utility easements as well as condemnation valuation. Craig has been qualified as an expert witness in the 5th district court as well as providing testimony in Georgia, US district court and federal bankruptcy court. His experience in real estate development has involved being a principle partner in developing office parks, retail buildings, recreational properties as well as building a variety of homes. He has been actively involved in the appraisal industry as a member of AARO, has served twice as the sub chapter chairman for Southern Utah for the Appraisal Institute as an associate member. Craig was appointed by the Governor of Utah to the Utah State Appraisal Licensing board and has completed his second term. He has been involved as an education instructor for the Utah Association of Appraisers as well as taking an active roll in developing rules that govern appraisers and appraisal management companies. Craig is currently serving as the president of the Board of Realtors for Washington County.

Stanford S. McConkie, Jr. BS- Partner

Stanford S. McConkie Jr. is a Utah State Certified General Appraiser and has extensive experience appraising commercial properties in Southern Utah. In 2001 Stanford graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Finance. Stanford appraises most types of real property including vacant land, commercial property office buildings, retail, and industrial use buildings. He has served as the sub chapter chairman for Southern Utah for the Appraisal Institute. Stanford is an associate member of the Appraisal Institute, but has met all the educational and experience requirements for the MAI designation. Stanford is on the UDOT list of approved appraisers for complex properties.

Brian Musso, BS-Partner

Brian is a Certified General Appraiser with 10 years of appraisal experience working for Morley & McConkie LC. His background is in land and commercial appraising with current primary emphasis on residential appraising. He received his degree in Finance from Brigham Young University with a composite minor in Economics and Business. Brian has previous experience in construction management, accounting and sales of financial services.

Jeffrey Tyler Morley, BS-Partner

Jeff Morley is a Certified General Appraiser in Utah and Nevada with extensive commercial and residential appraisal experience. Jeff has been appraising full time for Morley and McConkie LC since 2002. He specializes in the appraisal of recreational properties in Brian Head, Duck Creek, Panguitch Lake and the surrounding areas. Jeff has experience in appraising properties in Washington, Iron, Kane and Garfield counties in Utah and in Clark County, Nevada.

Jeff also has extensive commercial appraisal experience has completed all course work to receive the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute in 2012. In addition to the appraisal of general commercial properties, Jeff has experience in the appraisal of motels, restaurants, RV parks, subdivisions and large tracts of land. He also has experience in eminent domain appraisal work of fee and partial interest acquisitions for Right-of-Way and utility line easements. Jeff is on the UDOT list of approved appraisers for complex properties.

Garrett Hanning, BS

Garrett began his Real Estate Appraising career with Morley & McConkie LC. in February of 2006. His experience involves the appraising of most types of real property including raw land, improved property, commercial and industrial properties. Garrett periodically worked in the building industry for over ten years utilizing construction skills in commercial and residential development. In additional to other work experience, he caddied on the PGA Tour from 2000 to 2005. Garrett completed his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Utah in 2005.

Matthew C Morley

Matt Morley has been working in the appraisal business with Morley & McConkie LC since January 2007. Matt has experience doing real estate appraisals in Iron & Washington County. This experience includes Uniform Residential Appraisal Reports with some properties valued in excess of $1,000,000, income producing properties such as 2-4 unit buildings and apartments, vacant development land, residential subdivisions, office buildings, industrial buildings and a variety of other commercial properties.

Linda Sheeran, BS

Linda is a Certified Residential Appraiser in the States of Utah. She has worked for Morley & McConkie, L.C. since 2001. She has efficiently managed the accounts payable department for the business. Linda has received her appraiser training over the past several years while being employed with Morley & McConkie, L. C. Her specialization is in residential real properties including single family homes, condominiums, townhomes, manufactured homes, 2-4 income properties and vacant lots. She has extensive professional experience and owns a food concession business in St. George. Linda holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Secondary Education as well as Associate Degrees in Accounting and General Studies. Linda is also a Notary Public for the State of Utah.

Julie Bailey, BA

Julie has operated in the appraisal industry since 2000. She was employed by Bodell & VanDrimmelen in Salt Lake City, before relocating to St George in 2003. She manages the office for Morley & McConkie LC with the support staff. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications from Brigham Young University.
